Chinese Spring Rolls





Chinese Spring Rolls:

 What are Spring rolls?
  Spring rolls are rolled appetizers from the East Asia and South East Asian cuisine.
                                       
 In China :

  In Chinese cuisine, spring rolls are savoury rolls with cabbage and other vegetable fillings inside a wrapped cylinder shaped thin pastry.

   From areas such as Zhejiang in eastern China, and northern China. They are usually eaten during the Spring Festival in China.



In Latin America:

In certain countries like Uruguay and 

Argentina the spring rolls are called,

Arrollados de primavera".

Chinese supermarkets and restaurants 

serve sell them. You can find the markets

or restaurants any where in the city of 

Buenos Aires , Argentina or Montevideo ,

Uruguay and other regions that have China Towns.





In Vietnam:

Fresh spring rolls are a Vietnamese 

delicacy called,"gỏi cuốn".


The Vietnamese spring roll can be made 

with rice paper ( just like in the photo).

With Shrimp , fresh herbs , lettuce , 

cucumbers, fresh garlic chives , and 

rice vermicelli , all wrapped in rice paper.

You can find them at Vietnamese 

restaurants or Oriental markets.

What you will need:

* Spring roll shells

*Vegetables

*Flour

*Water


This meal takes 10 - 20 minutes to get it 

ready and cook. Depending at what 

temperature you cook the spring rolls.
