Red Cheongsam dresses are more common , because the color red has a special meaning in China. The color red scares away bad spirits and negative energy , they use red for good luck.
That's why Chinese new year envelopes are red and gold for good luck.
The fabric of this dress is really soft and it does stretch a little bet. I love the flower prints and the design too.
