Redken Loewe’s FW 2017 Show

"At Loewe, I’m doing a low ponytail that is finished with a very high shine. I’m using Hardwear 16 Gel to give a nice shape to the hair, keeping the hair at the crown very flat and close to the head. On the length, I’m using All Soft Argan-6 Multi-Care Oil to give it a ton of shine. With the help of hair products, you can really achieve a modern look.” – Guido

GET THE LOOK:

1.Start with damp hair. Create a clean, precise center part using a fine tooth comb.

2.Apply Hardwear 16 Gel on the top of the head, dividing hair into one inch sections, starting at the root. If needed, set with a blow dryer on low.

3.Allow mid to end lengths to dry naturally.

4.Secure hair into a ponytail with an elastic.

5.Spray Forceful 23 Super Strength Hairspray on top of hair to keep hold and for added shine.

6.Add a pea-size amount of All Soft Argan-6 Multi-Care Oil to the top of the head and throughout the lengths for added shine.

Redken FW2017 Dior

This look at Dior is truly magical fairytale couture. To create the ‘wood sprite waves,’ we tissue-set the hair to give a soft, romantic, uneven texture to the hair. The sides were pinned back to keep softness and fluff around the face and constantly brushed to give a lightness to the look.” – Guido.

GET THE LOOK:

1.Create a soft, clean center part.

2.Apply Redken Wind Blown 05 at the roots and mid-lengths, section by section throughout the length to give a lot of texture with hold in order to easily shape the hair.

3.Section out the hair using tissues, making each section a different size for added texture and shape. Keep the sections around the hairline slightly smaller than at the back of the head.

4.Start rolling the tissue paper around the hair and secure with a bobby pin. Quickly run a flat iron over each section to set the texture.

5.Allow hair to set and cool for 20 minutes.

6.Remove tissue paper and bobby pins and use a boar-bristled brush to comb through each section.

7.Take your first two sections of hair and pull them away from the face. Pin them back at the back of the head with two small bobby pins. Pull out random pieces in the front for a soft, romantic look.

Redken FW2017 Baja East

We’re doing very different hairstyles here at the Baja East show. The hair looks are completely dependent on the girl and her individual style. For some, that means a gelled look, and for others, that means a more romantic, low chignon. There’s an individual nature to this show, which makes it fun. Since all these girls are going to the Baja East Party, I wanted them to look glamorous yet cool in their own way.” – Guido

GET THE LOOK:

LOOK 1: SLICKED BACK

1.Prep hair by washing with Beach Envy Shampoo and Conditioner to bring out its natural texture. Allow to air dry.

2.Section the top into four sections. Clip each section out of the way.

3.Starting at the ears, apply Hardwear 16 Gel section by section at the root, ending just past the ears, with a fine-toothed comb.

4.Use fingers to flatten down the hair close to the head.

5.At the front of the head, use fingers to slightly pull hair backwards and off-center. Finish with a dime-size amount of Hardwear 16 Gel for extra hold.

6.Clip the gelled hair down close to the scalp to hold.

7.Apply Forceful 23 Hairspray to help seal the shape and give added hold.

8.Blow dry the gelled section on low for 30 seconds to seal in the look. Leave clips in until hair is fully dry.

9.If needed, use a curling iron on random mid-length sections for added texture. Remove clips.

LOOK 2: LOW CHIGNON

1. Start with clean, dry hair.

2. Apply Guts 10 all around the hairline and at the roots for added volume.

3. Roughly blow dry hair at the roots, using fingers for added lift.

4. Apply a dime-size small amount of Move Ability 05towards the front of the face for flexible hold.

5. Pull hair back and secure on either side with a clip.

6. Tie hair into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck.

7. Spray the length of the hair with Fashion Work 12 for added grip.

8. Using hands, twist hair up into a knot and secure on each side with hair pins.

Redken FW 2017 Marc Jacobs

The hair this season at Marc Jacobs really revolves around the hats. Marc was inspired by the classic Marc Jacobs girl – she’s downtown and cool, and the hats really accentuate this persona. I’ve seen more and more models arrive backstage with their own hats on, and I find that they make a statement in their own way. I’ve kept the girls’ natural texture and enhanced it with a bit of Wind Blown 05.” – Guido

GET THE LOOK:

1.Prep hair with All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner to cleanse the hair and add softness and shine.

2.Allow hair to air dry.

3.To enhance hair’s natural texture and add a bit of grip, spritz a generous amount of Wind Blown 05 throughout the mid-lengths.

4.Tousle hair using fingertips.

5.Add a hat or barrette to complete the style.

Redken FW 2017 Prada

“We’re cutting clumpy, choppy side bangs here at Prada. They’re very late 60’s – early 70’s, a bit rebellious in their own way to give a bit of toughness to a simpler style. I’m using a combination of Wind Blown 05 and Move Ability 05 to add a bit of texture into the hair. The look overall has one foot in beauty, and one foot in rebellion. We’ve also cut some of the girls’ hair, with a choppier bang, but all of the looks are tied together in their boyish femininity.” – Guido

GET THE LOOK:

1.Create a clean center part using fingers.

2.If needed, create a slight bend in hair using a curling iron.

3.Spray Wind Blown 05 all throughout lengths, ends and at the crown for a dryspun, windblown texture.

4.Using fingers, apply a dime-size amount of Move Ability 05 from roots to ends for flexible texture.

5.Take the first 2-3” of hair on either side and razor-cut “grown out” side bangs for a rocker edge, ending each bang mid-way down the ear.

6.For a light hold, finish with a spritz ofFashion Work 12 Hairspray.

My experience:

This product is great to keep the color of your hair lasting longer.

Makes your hair color last at least 2 more weeks.It's a little too oily , but if you have dry hair it will help get your hair back to life. The scent of raspberry that the product has it's really good.

VBangs:

V bangs are bangs cut in V shape.

I used 2 hair clips and placed them as V shape ,

it guides me better to cut the bangs.

I started with Redken blow-dry pillow-proof-primer-heat-protection-spray before I blow dry.

The spray helps protect the hair from the heat of the hair blow dryer. It also leaves it more shiny too.

I also cut my hair dry , even if some hair stylist rather cut it when the hair is wet I choose to do it differently.

When the hair is dry it's easier to cut , the scissor doesn't slip away like it would happen with wet hair. You have more control and you can see the results better when it's dry.

This is just my experience , you can try with wet or dry hair.

After that apply Redken diamond blow dry hair oil to get rid of the frizz. The scent it's really good and it's not that sticky like other hair oils.

To add volume use blow-dry pillow-proof-two-day-extender-dry-shampoo.

Use the dry shampoo at the back of the hair to build volume on top. The Redken dry shampoo comes in 2 sizes ; big size and travel size like the one I'm holding in the picture above.

Betty Bangs:

Betty bangs are short straight bangs that needs to be above the eyebrows. They are a hair style most common among pin-up girls.

Some celebrities like Katy Perry are the most known to have Betty bangs.

For this look I used 1 hair clip because I already cut the other part. If you're cutting your bangs or trimming you need 2 hair clips and place them in straight position so you cut a straight line.

You will need to trim every 2 weeks or once a month your Betty bangs since they are short type of hair bangs.

The process of applying the Redken products is exactly the same as the Vbangs. The products help keep the hair in place , frizz free , and add lots of shine too.
